We had water damage in different parts of our house. Alex was very thorough with his inspection and we had the air sampling results very quickly. He gave his suggestion and what needed to be prioritized first which was our bedroom and especially our master bathroom which had extensive water damage and was show to have Aspergillus growth. It took him a week to remediate the mold for our bathroom and bedroom. Now we our ready to remodel our bathroom. Dennis did a great job in the drywall repair in our bedroom. I found his price to be reasonable for all the amount of work that was done. Alex wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the work and he is willing to go above and beyond for our satisfaction. I would use Omega Environmental again and I would recommend this company to anyone looking for mold remediation done right.

Expert Moisture Control and Prevention in Jacksonville, FL
Jacksonville's humid subtropical climate creates persistent moisture pressure on properties year-round. Proximity to the Atlantic coast, the St. Johns River, and heavy summer storm seasons means that crawl spaces, wall cavities, and structural materials are constantly exposed to high humidity and water intrusion risk. Omega Environmental LLC addresses moisture at its source. Owner Alex Kearson holds Florida Licensed Mold Assessor and Mold Remediator credentials, along with industry certifications in water damage restoration and structural drying. That background shapes how every moisture control project is handled. We use moisture detection tools to locate hidden dampness behind walls, under floors, and in crawl spaces before it feeds larger problems. From vapor barrier installation and ventilation correction to targeted humidity management, we build a plan around your specific property. We serve homeowners and property managers across Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Ponte Vedra. If you are seeing musty odors, damp floors, or recurring surface staining, contact us to schedule an assessment.

Moisture control focuses on finding and correcting the source of dampness so problems do not develop or return. Mold remediation addresses mold that has already grown, and it is a separate service with its own process.
Yes, humid air from a damp crawl space rises into living areas through normal air movement, affecting indoor air quality and comfort. Addressing the crawl space is often a key part of controlling moisture throughout the whole property.
