We had water damage in different parts of our house. Alex was very thorough with his inspection and we had the air sampling results very quickly. He gave his suggestion and what needed to be prioritized first which was our bedroom and especially our master bathroom which had extensive water damage and was show to have Aspergillus growth. It took him a week to remediate the mold for our bathroom and bedroom. Now we our ready to remodel our bathroom. Dennis did a great job in the drywall repair in our bedroom. I found his price to be reasonable for all the amount of work that was done. Alex wanted to make sure we were satisfied with the work and he is willing to go above and beyond for our satisfaction. I would use Omega Environmental again and I would recommend this company to anyone looking for mold remediation done right.

Omega Environmental LLC provides professional structural drying for water-damaged homes and businesses across Jacksonville, Florida.
Expert Structural Drying in Jacksonville, FL
Structural drying removes moisture that has soaked into walls, floors, framing, and subflooring after a water loss. It is a separate step from water extraction. Extraction pulls out standing liquid water. Structural drying pulls out the moisture already absorbed deep inside building materials. Without it, that trapped moisture stays put, weakening wood framing, softening drywall, and creating the conditions mold needs to grow. Jacksonville's warm, humid climate makes this especially pressing. Outdoor humidity stays high across Duval County for much of the year, which means wet building materials do not dry on their own the way they might in a drier region. Omega Environmental uses moisture meters and dehumidification equipment to measure what is actually inside your walls and floors, not just what the surface looks like. Owner Alex Kearson brings more than 25 years in restoration and construction, along with industry certifications in structural drying, to every job in Jacksonville, St. Augustine, and Ponte Vedra. Call Omega Environmental to schedule a structural drying assessment.

Structural Drying FAQ
Common questions about structural drying in Jacksonville, FL.
Yes, removing moisture from inside building materials cuts off the conditions mold needs to grow. Jacksonville's humidity means wet framing and drywall will not dry on their own, so active drying is the step that makes the difference.
Water extraction removes standing liquid water, but moisture already absorbed into drywall, wood framing, and subflooring stays trapped without structural drying. Skipping structural drying leaves hidden moisture behind that can cause rot and mold in Jacksonville properties.
We use moisture meters and monitoring devices to measure moisture levels inside building materials, not just on the surface. This lets us locate wet areas in Jacksonville homes that look and feel dry but are still saturated inside.
Structural drying is one of the most direct ways to reduce mold risk after water damage in St. Augustine. Mold needs moisture to grow, and drying building materials to the correct level removes that moisture before mold can take hold.
Yes, we document moisture readings and the drying process throughout the job, which supports your insurance claim. That documentation gives your adjuster a clear record of the scope and progress of the structural drying work.
We use dehumidifiers, air movers, and moisture monitoring devices to dry building materials and control indoor humidity. The combination of air circulation and dehumidification is what pulls moisture out of walls, floors, and framing.
